Trans Am Series

In its Heyday from 1968 through 1972 the Sports Car Club Of America sanctioned the Tans-American Sedan Championship that limited its competitors engines to 305 5.0 liter engines. The manufacturers took this "Pony" car division very seriously. Chevy entered the Z28 Camaro, Ford the Boss 302 Mustang, Plymouth the AAR Cuda, Dodge the ChallengerTA, Pontiac entered the aptly named Trans Am, and of course AMC with the Javelin.

While this series doesn't have much relevance to today's racing scene. It is definitely made its mark historically. We have lots of TA series cars available like this original 69 Boss 302 and many more call John @ 940-206-3020 for more information.

Our Latest Car Show

Once again we had a successful car show this last weekend and we would like to thank everyone who participated. The folks at Hooters were gracious as usual and we had a great time. Participation wasn't as big as we have had in the past, but the quality of the cars at the show was top notch. We do this show on the third Saturday afternoon of each month so come see us in September.

Few cars in history have been as popular and iconic as the 1957 Chevy Bel Air. With a few short glances it is easy to see why. From the dash to the grill to the tail fins the 57 Bel Air is a genuine work of art and a true masterpiece. It almost makes you sad to see that they made cars this unique 50+ years ago and today it seems that all car manufacturers are busy building bland cars that all look the same. My favorite think about the Bel Air is the dash. Sitting behind the wheel it is hard not imagine being at the drive in. Currently we have 1 1957 Bel Air in stock and ready to sell. 1981 Trans Am

This car sure brings back memories. When I was younger I used to stay up late at night and dream about this car. To me there aren't many cooler things than having a Phoenix painted on your hood. How awesome is that? Anyway, Smokey And The Bandit made this one popular, and for good reason, because it's an awesome car. This Trans am pictured has a 5.0, 4 speed transmission, T tops and it only has 10k ORIGINAL miles. This retro beauty sells for $29,900 and is a great collector car. Call John with any questions or to make an offer 940-206-3020 or 940-891-4000 or email John @ jonnicash@hotmail.com.

Dodge Viper

Here at Harwell Motor Company we sell a little of everything. One of my personal favorites has got to be the Dodge Viper GTS. The long aggressive nose hides a 450hp V10 that truly rumbles like none other and the futuristic styling inside the cab just adds to the whole aura of the vehicle. There is definitely no way to get lost in the crowd while driving a Viper. All that said the absolut coolest thing about the viper is the price. At Harwell Motor Company we have this 1999 Viper GTS with 20k orig miles for only $39,900 Call John with any questions you may have940-206-3020.

Bringing back the 80's

Here at Harwell we love the 80's too. Not because of Cindy Lauper or Michael Jackson but because of the Cars. Not the band the actual cars. This often overlooked segment of the collector market is growing by leaps and bounds. The 80's cars offer more creature comforts while still kicking butt on the street (and they also cost quite a bit less than 60's and 70's era cars). Fox body Mustangs, Irocs, Vettes, and one of my personal favorites the 1987 Buick Grand National. I heard one enthusiast recently say he almost cried the first time he saw a Buick beat a Corvette in a race, but that's just the way it is. These Grand Nationals have supercharged V6 engines and they are actually comfortable to drive and ride in. People who don't know cars will think you are crazy "Why is this fool trying to go fast in a Buick Regal?" I say just let 'em talk. These are cool cars. This Grand National is very Rare because it has only 28k original miles and it looks like it just rolled off the factory floor. We are selling this beauty for $23,900.00 and if you are interested you can call John Ray at 940-3020 or 940-891-4000

Upcoming appearance

1970 Chevelle LS5

Here is another one of the cars here at Harwell Motor Company. I'm not sure if there is another car out there that exemplifies the American muscle car more than the 1970 Chevelle. Now days it seems that all cars look so much alike that it is hard to tell a Ford from a Honda, but think back to 1968-1972 Roadrunners, Chevelles, Mustangs, Corvettes, Superbirds, Camaros, El Caminos, and the list goes on and on.

This gorgeus car has an automatic transmission a big block 454 and it is a mean dude for sure. I have the original build sheet for this one and will part with it for $34,900. Call Hunter 940-367-7658 with any questions or to make an offer.

The Biscayne

Here is one of the cars we have for sale here at Harwell. I got the opportunity to drive this bad boy home last weekend and it really turns some heads. It is a 1961 Chevy Biscayne with a fuel injected TPI 350 motor conversion and an automatic transmission. I parked it in my driveway and all of my neighbors had to come out for a look. Corvettes and Porsche 911s are great, but cars like this Biscayne really get you noticed because they stand out in a crowd. This beauty sells for $24,500 and is available by calling Hunter @ 940-367-7658.

Here is the latest artwork that we just did for our website harwellmotors.com. It was done by frostbyte studios in Canada. They really do a cool job.

Welcome

Welcome to the new blog of Harwell Motor Company. Located in Denton, TX Harwell Motor Company specializes in selling classic muscle cars and exotic sports cars. Currently we have 43 vehicles ready for sale and many more on their way.

The hardest part about working here is not falling in love with each new car that rolls in. We just recently acquired a '66 El Camino that has me drooling, but just like when I was young and found a puppy as soon as I get attached to it its new owner will come and take it home.

Anyway, enjoy the blog and come buy some cars.
